Lifegroups@HOME

Acts 2:46-47  "So continuing daily in one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved."

What is a lifegroup@HOME?
Lifegroups@HOME are small groups of 8-12 adults who meet in a home twice a month for Bible study and relationship development. Curriculum is provided for each group with discussion time and fellowship time as part of the evening agenda. Lifegroups@HOME provide an opportunity for you to meet and really get to know people that you normally wouldn't in the large service setting.

Lifegroups@HOME are offered for single adults, college aged singles, married couples with children, married couples and single adults with grown children, young married couples and more. There's a group that's right for you!

When do they meet?
Lifegroups@HOME begin as "Starter Groups" that meet weekly for 8 weeks. All "Starter Groups" go through the same curriculum. At the end of this time the group is evaluated and if the group is to continue, then meetings are held twice a month. Groups take breaks during major holidays or church functions.

Who can lead a group?
In order to be a Lifegroup@HOME leader we ask you to first be involved in a lifegroup@HOME for a period of time. This gives you a good feel for our expectations. You must be a member of Covenant Family Church (completed all Starting Point Membership classes), and complete the lifegroup leader training class.

What curriculum is used?
All curriculum is currently being done on DVD. Choices are given to the leaders each semester for groups to choose. A typical curriculum has 6-8 lessons.

Is there childcare?
Childcare is up to the individual groups. Make sure your group meets your needs before you commit. If it doesn't, we can find a perfect group for you!
